About Us
Mission Statement Version
Our program is about more than teaching the mechanics of martial arts—we teach life. We strive to develop individuals who grow in character, discipline, and leadership so they can positively impact their communities. Our goal is to help students become better citizens who inspire and support others in becoming better citizens as well.
Every student has the potential to grow, improve, and achieve success in their own way. Through martial arts training, we cultivate both physical strength and personal character.
Our program promotes the development of:
Discipline
Improved Academic Performance
Focus
Healthier relationships
Respect
Physical Fitness
Integrity leadership development, perseverance, community enrichment, career planning, goal setting, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
MidSouth Martial Arts began in 2005 in Searcy, Arkansas, with just three students under the name Arkansas Martial Arts Academy. What started as a small training group quickly grew into a program dedicated to developing not only martial arts skills, but also character, leadership, and community engagement.
In Fall 2008, the Arkansas Martial Arts Academy changed its name to IMPACT 360 to better reflect its mission. The word “Impact” represents the positive influence we strive to have on our community, while “360” represents our holistic commitment to developing the whole person—physically, mentally, and socially. During this time, the organization expanded its vision to include several programs designed to support personal growth beyond martial arts training.
Today, MidSouth Martial Arts continues to build bridges across communities by bringing together people of different genders, generations, educational backgrounds, races, and socio-economic groups. Our program is intentionally designed to create an environment where everyone is welcome and where students can grow together through discipline, respect, and shared learning.
In May 2024, MidSouth Martial Arts received official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status from the federal government, recognizing the organization as a public charity committed to serving the community.
Currently, MidSouth Martial Arts serves students and their families in Searcy, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. Our students come from all walks of life, ranging in age from as young as five years old to as experienced as seventy-three, demonstrating that martial arts training truly can benefit people at every stage of life.
What began with just three students has grown into a community dedicated to developing stronger individuals, stronger families, and stronger communities.
